mortality among the natives of the

and is greatly dreaded by Europeans
in the parts of Africa where it ex-
ists. Its origin has been the subject
. of much medical research.

ian mission, headed by Gustavo To-
tosi, has reached a settlement with
the Turkish nationalist government
of the differences arising from th*
incidents at Adalia and the search-
ing of Italian shins by the Turks in
the Black Sea. The Totosi mission
is considered to have ended its work
here, although a commercial agree-
ment, which was one of its objects
has not been reported.
