Elmer Davidson, who is visit-
ing with her son, Floyd Ray and
family. Mrs. Davidson, who
lived here until a few years
ago, has recently had surgery
and we're so glad she is able
to be out and around again oe

Irene (Granny) Giddings is do-
ing much better following
several weeks of illness. Her
granddaughter, Sandra Sutton,
says Granny likes to be home
so she can sleep in her own
bed. It’s true, no bed sleeps
quite as comfortably as your
own.
Roberta Story says she fin-
ally got the cast off her leg
and feels light enough to fly.
Mr. and Mrs. J, A. Smith of
Princeton visited in the Story
home on Sunday. Other visi-
tors were Mrs. Leona Snider of
McKinney, Mr. and Mrs. Olney
Carpenter and Betty, of Plano
and Miss Ruth Cundiff of
Dallas.
And Mr. and Mrs. Doug Mar-
cussen welcomed their first
child, a son born at Presby-
terian. We congratulate the
Deans and the Marcussens on
their new arrivals.

Heavenly Father, in his Infinite Wisdom, called from her
earthly labors, Mary Ereckson; and
WHEREAS, Our hearts were saddened by the death of this
our loved member of the Bethany Home Demonstration 6.
Club, who was a Charter Member of the club. She had
served as President of the club, and in many other areas
of the club in which she was most interested.
WHEREAS, She gave of herself untiringly to serve others
in her church, the Home Demonstration Club, and other
activities in her community. She was a member of the
First Christian Church, and because of her blindness,
she was inactive for several years, in the many things
she loved to be a part of. But because of her blindness
it never kept her from knowing those close to her, relatives
and friends, when she could hear them sneak.
BE IT Therefore Resolved, that a copy of these qualities
of our dear departed member be filed in our records as
an expression of our love and admiration and as a token
of our sympathy to her husband, children, and members
of her family, and a copy be sent to them.

with the Lay Witness Mission
held at the First Baptist Chu-
rch. Several denominations
were brought together for
these inspirational services
and Christian fellowship. The

son is her brother.

Mrs. J. L. Hill of Cleveland,
Mississippi. Reverend Hill
is pastor of Providence Bap-
tist Church in Cleveland and
was here attending “TheScho-
ol of Prophets'* taught by Dr.
Criswell at the First Baptist
Church in Dallas. Mrs. Hill
is the daughter of Mr. and

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Marion
recently attended the Beene
family reunion in the home of
Mrs. Van Hill of Dallas. Among
those present were Mr.
Murray Benne of New Mexico
and Mrs. Rose Beene of Gar-
land. Thiema, whose name was
Benne prior to her marriage to
Mr. Marion, said she saw cou-
sins whom she had not seen in
twenty years. It is sad how
kinfolk get scattered and lose
contact through the years, but
what an enjoyable occasion
when old acquaintances can be
renewed.
