letters cont' from p.2
As we strolled across the
campus, we were greeted by
many students with extreme
courtesy. It was such a delight to
observe, your clean-cut group
having fun in a positive, manner.
We were especially impressed
with the cleanliness of the
campus.
We had the opportunity to
meet some of the faculty, and
we were very impressed with
their sincerity and friendliness.
This was our third such visit to
your campus- and it seemed the
best. . r
As an individual whcj has
spent his lifetime working with
the youth of our community, it
did me good to see'the future of
our society in actiob while I was
on youricampus. In some small
way I would like for you to
express my appreciation to those
at TSU.
Appreciatively yours,
R.L. Anderson, Counselor
Dear Editor:
I would like to urge the
Tarleton students who are
registered in Stephenville to,
make every effort to vote at
their precinct polling place on
Election Day, Tuesday,
November 7, between 7 a.m. and
7 p.m. If you feel that your
schedule may not permit time
for you to go to the polls on
that day, you may vote absentee
at the County Clerk's office on
the first floor of the Courthouse
through November 3,
Tarleton students will never
be taken seriously as a viable
political force so long astheonly
issue they bother to vote on is a
Wet-Dry Election. You live here
with us, You must live within
our laws. Why not exercise your
right to have a voice in the
creation and implementation of
those laws.
Voting is your privilege. It is
also your responsibility. Do
yourself a favor and vote in the
coming election.
Sincerely,
Betty Heath
Dear Editor.
Perhaps this letter.comes a
week late, but it has taken me
this Iqng to recuperate from
Homecoming. Hppefully, it is
not4 however, tpo late to say
thanks to everyope who worked
on the Freshman-Sophomore
Class float. Without them it
could not have been done.
Considering that at the first
Class meeting there was a great
deal of opposition it's a wonder
we even had one. But from this
apathetic crowd a float was built
and with every board cut- and
nail hammered enthusiasm grew.
To top off the fact that the float
was built, it was finished in
record time. While all the other
clubs struggled into the wee
morning tiours on Friday to
complete their floats the
Freshman- Sophomore Classes "
enjoyed leisure time and
partying.
They said we couldn't do it,
but we did! No late nights no
over extended accounts, and a
pretty decent float. Thanks you
guys for doing all the work for
mel
Sincerely,
Denise'Sjogren
