plays a starry eyed
freshman who yearns to be
the most popular guy on
campus.

The Stir-Ups will meet
tonight in Rm. 205 of the
Administration Building to
discuss future activities.
TSU Student Nursing
Association elected officers
for 1982 at their last
meeting.
A T-shirt drive is planned
soon, in which the popular
"Nurses" T-shirts will be
sold. The monies raised
will help cover costs for
members to attend the
state convention in March.
The Horticulture Club
will hold its weekly plant
sale Wednesday in the Stu-
dent Center lobby from 9 to
12.
A Rho lota Delta social
will be held tomorrow at
6:30 p.m. The social will
focus on communications.
Thursday, members will
leave for the THEA con-
vention in San Antonio.
TSU football star Ricky
Bush will provide musical
entertainment for the BSC
at Thursday's noon lun-
cheon. The luncheon begins
at 12:05 and is open to all
students.
Shores to appear
on television Feb. 20
Dr. Jim Shores, of the
criminal justice faculty,
made an appearance on
Channel 10's "Minority
Forum" last Saturday as
part of National Black
History Month. He will also
appear on Channel 11 at
Fort Worth on Feb. 20 at 10
a.m.
Shores will discuss the
issues of the Black com-
munity dealing with
measures that can be taken
to rehabilitate persons who
are now incarcerated or
who have been in-
carcerated.
Shores holds a
bachelor's, three master's
and a Ph.D. degree in
social work, vocational
rehabilitation, criminal
justice, and counseling. He
is currently on the board of
directors of Father Flan-
nigan's Boys Town in
Omaha, Neb.
Prior to coming to TSU in
1980, Shores was coor-
dinator for the Criminal
Justice Program at South
Carolina State College.
