Mr. Tom Chancy of Pollok
reports an infant being born
in his neighborhood with a
tooth long enough to hull gub-
ers.
Mrs. Todd and Mrs. A. C.
Vinson went up on Monday
evening to attend the May day
festivities at Nacogdoches.
At a party of colored peo-
ple near J. A. Ewing & Co.’s
mill on Saturday night a dif-
ficulty arose among some of
them, when the proprietor of
the house, where the party was
at, Jess Johnson shot and kill-

dividual ex-soldier. United we
stand; divided we fall.
Today, the Texas Legisla-
ture is in session. A number
of bills have been introduced
which will benefit the ex-
soldiers of Texas. Whether
or not these bills are passed
will depend to a great extent
upon the American Legion of
Texas. The American Legion
is working for all ex-soldiers.
Therefore, it is obvious that
all ex-soldiers should be mem-
bers of the American Legion.”
