Come one, come all to Shlenker’s
FUNTASTIC Carnival on Sunday, March
15th from Noon to 4 p.m. Beat the heat
and have a cool time this year. There’s
plenty to do whether you're one or one
hundred!
Along with our new booths this year,
everybody’s favorite booths will be back:
Confetti Eggs, Spin Art, The Petting
Zoo and Sweet Booth just to name a few.
This year, we’ve added some new booths.
Live! On Location! Houston’s hot-
test mobile recording studio will be on
hand so you can make a singing tape.
Whether you prefer Frank Sinatra or
Madonna, for $3.00 a tape, you too can
be a STAR.
Come play Bingo. Purchase an arrest
warrant and put your favorite teacher or
friend in jail; it’s sure to be an arresting
time in the Shlenker Slammer. The
Houston Police Department will be back
along with the Houston Fire Department
and their big red fire truck — always a hit
with the children! Malibu Grand Prix will
also join in on the fun. Take a picture with
you in the driver’s seat in one of their racy,
jazzed-up cars.
After all these exciting events, you
might get hungry! No problem!

Hamburgers and hotdogs, chips, cotton
candy and plenty of soft drinks will fill the
bill!
Our Bazaar, chaired by Ilene
Wiesenthal, will feature booths which
would make great gifts . . . Tupperware,
Discovery Toys, perfume, beautiful
jewelry, clothing just to name a few. So
as the children are playing, come and
enjoy the shopping.
You’ll want to purchase your tickets
early - five tickets for a dollar if purchased
before the carnival; four tickets for a
dollar at the carnival. For ticket
information, call 270-6127.
Thanks to our donors this year — Dr.
Mark Silberman, who is sponsoring the
Petting Zoo; Martin Foods for donating
the delicious food; and, Associated
Building Services for supplying the
clean-up crews. Michael Abbott and
Brotherhood also will lend a hand. Bill
Smolensky of Houston Southwest
Vendors will supply the soft drinks. Also,
thanks to Bill Smolensky and Eddie
Nowinski for building the jail and frog
jump.
We thank you for your help and
donations and thank you for making
Shlenker’sCamivalTRULYFUNTASTIC!
See y’all on March 15th!!!
