WE NEED YOUR HELP TO BUILD OUR TEMPLE!!!!!:
A few weeks ago, you received a letter from the New Facilities
Chairman wherein he asked for your help in locating items for your
synagogue. Please, if you know someone who would be willing to donate
either goods or services, let Art Berner know. Gifts and donations
of this type are necessary if our dream is to become a reality.
We on the Board are most interested in sharing with you our
thoughts. We need to know your feelings and comments if we are to
be responsive to your needs. I urge each congregant to attend the
scheduled General Membership Meeting on Thursday, November 1- at St.
John Vianney at 8:00 P.M. We look forward to a stimulating meeting.
Your friends are invited as well-----for, your friends are indeed our
future ! .’.’
It is my hope and prayer that we may soon come together to del-
iberate the purchase of our first home.
Keen your eyes and ears open for this year’s Friday Evening Services!!
At a recent meeting of the Ritual Committee, chaired by Dr. Robert
Friedman, an intense discussion was directed toward the diversification
of Friday Evening Services. In the future we plan to have guest speak-
ers and monthly childrens services.
If you have any suggestions, or comments with regard to our services,
please contact Bob.
We had a marvelous turn-out for the first offering in our lecture
and discussion series of our Adult Education program. A good time
was had by all!! Due to the tremendous response, we are planning
our next program at a time that will be more convenient to most
people. The lecture will be presented by Evan Epstein of the Hooks-
Epstein Gallery on Friday evening, December 13th, immediately following
services. The topic will be ‘Who were and who are the Jewish artists
and what impact have they had upon the arts during the past 50 years?”
This promises to be an enlightening and stimulating presentation and we
anticipate a record turn-out. Circle your calendar (December 6th) and
plan to attend.
There is a saying----”Now is the time for all good men to come
to the aid of their country.” I’d like to paraphrase that statement
