Nine Refinery employees
gave their time last Saturday
to serve as guides on bus tours
of the Plant.
THEY RODE with passengers
on the buses that left the Humble
Dining Room every 30 minutes
throughout the day. As the buses
moved about the Plant, the guides
pointed out various units and ex-
plained, in non-technical terms,
the job done by each unit.
The guides were F. Doskocil
and C. L. Harrison of the Engi-
neering Division; O. C. Massey,
Utilities; C. A. Behymer, W. B.
Lewis and W. L. Ward of Techni-
cal and Research Division; G. C.

TWO REFINERY EMPLOYEES in the Instrument de-

service and maintenance of new type Beckman pH instruments
in an instrument clinic held at Lee College Auditorium last
Thursday night. They are, from left, R. R. Johnson and K. R.
Martin who were among about 50 Humble employees who at-
tended the three-hour lecture and demonstration clinic con-
ducted by George Bourke, right, Beckman representative.
Instruments of this type are used at such units as cooling
lowers, SOa plants, pipe stills and in the various laboratories.
THE CLINIC was sponsored by the Instrument Society of
America of which E. S. Ciruti and O. J. “Dixie” Howell are
local chairmen. C. W. Bales, mechanical engineer in the
Instrument department, is chairman of the ISA for the Houston
