Snowbound will be Wednes-

Public Library.
The 33-minute film is about 2
young people who are stranded in
a snowstorm and how their ex-
periences bring them to a new
understanding of themselves and
each other.
The film is shown at 12:30 and 3
p.m. in the children’s room of the

August membership programs
planned to acquaint eligible area
women with AAUW activities.
The 1980-81 membership drive
will begin with a Dessert Party on
Thursday, August 14, at 7:30
A p.m., at the home of Rita Thomas,

On Tuesday, August 19, poten-
tial members will be entertained
at a Wine and Cheese Party, to
begin at 7:30 p.m. at the home of
Sylvia Lutz, 4004 Los Robles,
Plano.
A “Bread Spread” will be
hosted by Jean Young, 813 Valley
Creek, Plano, on Thursday,
August 28, at 9:30 a.m.
69 AAUW membership is open to
any woman with a baccalaureate
degree or higher from an ac-
credited institution.
The Plano Branch presents 5
branch meetings during the year,
and study groups such as finance
or gourmet dining or understan-
ding children meet monthly. This
