the City Council it was ordered that
the resolution heretofore passed by
the council, on the 24th day of Feb-
ruary relative to loan of seven thou-
sand dollars from T. J. elements, be
and is hereby rescinded and that the
resolution prepared by Mr Corbett
on the same subject be and hereby
is adopted in lieu thereof. It was or-
dered that a warrant be drawn on
the water works fund for titty dollars
in favor of Juo. M. Corbett as attor-
ney fees in connection with the loan,
and in lieu of interest
The special committee to investi-
gate the sewer system, made a re-
port which was read in open council
by Mr. P. G. Secrest, chairman of said
committee, and by a unaimous vote
of the council the report was re-
ceived without any recommendations.
A motion was adopted directing the
city attorney in connection with the
special committee, heretofore ap-
pointed. to confer with the attorney
of the sewer system to see it a plan
might be devised whereby the city
could legally take over the bewer
system.

"It's him.” the board is said to have
replied.
"It’s he," Mrs. Watson explained
"Apparently that's all we can get
right now."
Mr Leggett cranked the police fliv-
ver and fared forth to find Charles
Yatez. Just west of the Davis Street
viaduct he encountered a limousine

Suspielous Symptoms.
Cough or expectoration, even if
only a little in the morning which
you hardly notice, it continued over
two months.
Frequent “bronchial," “grip" or
fever attacks very suspiclous.
Blood spitting -If blood is coughed
up the cause is tubereulosis nine
times in ten.
Pleurisy caused by tuberculoais
about seven times in ten.
Night-Sweats—very suspicious.
Loss of weight and strength very
suspicious, especially if there is a
slight cough.

Evanston, 111. March 18 -The
$5,000 limousine of Mr and Mrs Ed
win A. Watson is back in the Watson
garage again and the oulja board gets
all the credit.
For months Mrs Watson had not
been onspeaking terms with the
astral smart set Her ouija board,
forsaken and forlorn in a dusty cor-
ner of the attic, almost had succumb-
ed to sleeping sickness Then the
limousine was stolen And far days
the Evanston police and private de
tectives were baffled. One morning
Mrs. Watson was musing tor the
