THE # BRAND
\
They Want The Brand.
We have received two letters this
week, which show how The Brand
is appreciated away from its own
bailiwick. One is from W. M.
Coconougher of Prosper and reads as
follows:
"Enclosed find $1.00. Please
send me The Brand for another
year. Success to The Brand."
The other is from J. H. Seymour,
a prominent real estate dealer of
Yantis, to whom the Hereford Land
and Abstract Company had sent a
few sample copies of The Brand.
"Enclosed you will find a sub-
scription to The Brand. I have
received three copies of your paper
and like it very much. I expect
before the subscription expires to be
in your midst, as I intend to move
to Hereford as soon as I can dis-
pose of my property at this place.
Thanking you for sending me your
paper, I am yours truly."
It is such letters as these which
make us feel that our efforts to
publish a newspaper which is calcu-
lated to upbuild Hereford and the
surrounding country are not in vain.
Since the installation of our new
power machinery it is our intention
to make The Brand a paper that
will not only be of interest to our
home people, but a paper that will
be read with interest by everyone
interested in the Panhandle. To do
this it will be necessary for the
people ot Hereford and vicinity to
co-operate with us in every way
possible. If you live in an outside
district we would appreciate a
weekly letter apprising the readers
of The Brand the news in your
immediate vicinity. If you live in
town and hear or know of a news
item let us know about it, either in
person or by telephone. The
Brand's number is 30. In this way
we will be enabled to publish a
paper which will be of interest to all
and greatly augment the immigra-
tion to Hereford and vicinity.
Services at the Baptist Church.

dentially prevented, failed to come

The injunction suit, brought by
August A. Busch, wholesale liquor

Commissioner's Court of Grayson
county in their purpose to declare
the results of the recent local option
election in that county, resulted
in a decision wholly in favor of the
local optionists, the court holding
that the local option law is valid
ánd constitutional and the petition
for an injunction was denied.—
