Not Enough Of A Good Thing
WHILE SOME YONKUMITES AGREE that the northside highway bypass helped route some heavy truck
traffic away from the downtown area, they wish that the state highway department had continued the
bypass farther than FM 318 or at least widened the FM 318-SH 111 intersection As it stands, the
property owners say the tractor-trailer rigs often jump the curb making the turn, pose a danger to on-
coming traffic and create unwelcome noise in the residential neighborhood.
