CELINA — New officers of the
Celina Parent Teachers Association
were named and installed at a
meeting of the group recently.
Mrs. Frank Pafford is president;
Mrs. Amos Clark, first vice pres-
ident; Mrs. Billy Parish, second
vice president; Mrs. Grover Rue,
treasurer, and Mrs. R. J. Shook,
secretary.
Mrs. Paul O’Brien was chairman
of the nominating committee. Mrs.
M. W. Graham presided in the
absence of the president, Mrs. J.
M. Cornelius.
Miss Alta Newsom presented the
pre school and first graders in a
playlet, ’ Belling the Cat.” In the
cast were Ricky O'Brien, George
Robinson, Jorene McKnight, Carol
Cornelius, Paula Sue Norris, An-
ette Parish, Carl Hoegel and Bob
Cashon.
A program of piano numbers was
given by the Alta Newsom Junior
Music Club. Carol Johnson, Gus

was honoree at an open house-
shower at the home of Mrs. E. C.
Tally. Hostesses with Mrs. Tally
were her daughter, Mrs. Ted Rey-
nolds of Perrin and Mmes. Hom-
er Strader, A. L. Peterson and
John D. Faught.
Aunts of Miss Lewis. Mrs. Mada
Pennington and Misa Hazel Bum-
garner, and memberss of the wed-

The bride-to-be’s chosen colors,
shades of orchid and purple were

som Music Club. Miss Marilyn
Moore gave the story of the Cru-
saders’ Hymn and the club sang
it, accompanied by Miss Lynell
Rucker. Carol Johnson and Miss
Newsom played a two-piano ar-
rangement of “Blue Bells of Scot-
land?’
- A program of solos, duets and
trios was played by Carol Corne-
lius, Gus Stelzer, Card Johnson,
Rita Kay Robinson, Bennie Porter,
Diana Parish, Ruth Knuckles,
Richie Clark, Joana Cornelius,
T .Ind* Barker, Sara Loftice, Sher-
ley Boren, Linda Rucker and
Sandra Lee.
