PILOT POINT - Scheduled sur-
facing of the farm road known as
the Burns City road, northwest of
Pilot Point in Cooke County, will
be a boost to this area. The pro-
ject, approved by the Cooke Coun-
ty commissioners court last week,
will provide better transportation
for the agricultural area north-
west of here.
Work on the Pilot Point-to-Sang-
er road west of this city, has been
in progress over a week. _ _
She interned at Baylor Hospital
in Dallas _and did her residency
training at Colorado Medical Cen-
ter at Denver.
“I came to Texas to intern be-
cause my sister and her husband,
who live in Dallas, wanted me to
come to Texas to live." Dr. More-
land said.
"Then, I found I liked Texas and
the people here so much, I decid-
ed to come back even after I’d
been- in beautiful Colorado,” she
said.

Surging Live-Water currents keep clothes
alwsys in the water—never half-in. half-out.
Suds and water swirl around and through
every piece, thoroughly but gently, so even
nylons, woolens, rayons are safe. There’s no
jerking back and forth motions, no yanking
or pulling.
When washing time is over. fresh warm
water starts flowing into the tub automatical-
ly—filling it to the brim—filling it higher and
higher until the soap and dirt from the clothes
float up—up—and over the tub to draw away
—never get a chance to settle on clothes be-
cause all during the overflow, the washing
actior never stops. ,
2. NEW FLOAT-OVER RINSE WILL
RINSE YOUR CLOTHES BRIGHT
All the time the washer is rinsing, the tub
keeps filling with water—continuing to over-
flow-taking with it the rinsed-out soap. The
soap goes up—the clothes stay down, free
and clear of the soapy film that’s floating
away on top. Constant Float-over Rinse is so
thorough, it eliminates the need for the usual
extra rinse— saves time, saves water.

BALTIMORE (A — How many
prepugnalegiasts are there in the
United States?
The match industry says there
are probably 29 million. And what
is a prepugnalegiast? It is a per-
son who reads the match book cov-
er before striking the match.
At least, so he’s been defined
by Dr. J. E. Schmidt, a Balti-
more lexicographer. At any rate,
surveys show that three out of
every eight persons who carry
match books — there are 79 mil-
lion of them in the United States—
can recall the message on the
match books in their pockets with-
out looking to check up.

Dr. Moreland enjoyed her year
in McKinney, but decided she would
like to live and practice in Denton.,
"I have some friends here, and it
seems to be a wonderful place for
a woman doctor,” she said.
With her time flUed with medi-
cal study and practice during the
past few years, Dr. Moreland
hasn’t had much time for outside
interests.
However, she enjoys golf, tennis,
horseback riding, and fishing.
Although she’s onl; been playing
golf about two years — and then
"only about every two weeks”—
she's already brought her score
down to 90. “That was my beat,
I believe," she said -
Dr. Moreland went deep-sea fish
ing at Port Aransas about a month
ago and caught about 100 pounds
of kingfish. “We were really fish-
ing for sailfish, but we didn’t see
any. Anyway, the kingfish were tan
to cate. ,” she said.
Dr Moreland spends most of her
non-working hours reading. "I en
joy it, and reading and keeping up
is important to a doctor ” she said.
Dr. Moreland’s home is at 416
Woodland. Her parents live in Po-
tomac, III.
Dr. Morel nd’s father is a re-
tired insurance man. and no one
in her family influenced her de-
cision to become a doctor. She has
