Letter from Harris L. Kempner to H. C. Heldenfels graciously accepting his offer to become a member of a committee to help make a study on the importance of agriculture in the state of Texas. A blind carbon copy is sent to Mr. E. W. Cook where Mr. Kempner admits he has no idea what he just signed up for, but figured it would look good for the cotton business.
