day-Saturday.

out for the Tigers was Junior Averie Ayers. It was a great win for
the Lady Tigers as they advanced to bracket play undefeated.
The Lady Tigers will make their next homefield appearance
March 5 as they take on Pleasant Grove. The first pitch for the var-
sity game will be at 6 p.m.

The Tigers extended the lead to as much
as 10 points in the fourth, but Athens fought
back to make a game of it late. Clutch free
throws made by the Tigers sealed the vic-
tory.
Dorian Glinton led all scorers with a
game-high 32 points. Kevin Savage followed up with 26 points including five three pointers. Buddy
McGill added 15 points and Josh McGill had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, also
handing out 5 assists.
Other scorers were Christon Himes, 6 points and KJ Cannon, 4 points.
The Tigers will take on Forney in their Bi-District matchup at Tyler Junior College on Tuesday. The
game will be held at Wagstaff Gymnasium, with tip-off set for 6 p.m.
This past Friday night the Mount Pleas-
ant Tigers traveled to Athens to play a game
ahead of their upcoming Bi-District playoff
contest.
Fans might have thought they were
watching a track meet Friday as the Tigers
defeated Athens, 97-91. The two teams com-
bined for 189 total points in a fast-paced, up
and down game.
Athens took a one-point advantage at the
close of the first quarter before the Tigers
went on a run that put them up 48-44 at the
halfway point. Athens cut the lead down
to 3 in the third quarter as both teams ex-
changed baskets.
