Members of the Mount Pleasant/Titus County Chamber of Commerce and others joined Real-
tor Paloma Quintana-Leal Tuesday, May 11 for a ribbon cutting
Funeral services for Morris Justice, Jr., 75, resident of
Mount Pleasant, will be Saturday, May 11, 2019, 11 a.m.
at Tumey Mortuary Chapel, Mount Pleasant, with Dr.
Francis A. Rundles officiating. Burial will be in Cortznes
Cemetery, Mount Pleasant under the direction of Tumey
Mortuary. He died, Friday, May 3, 2019.
He was born Nov. 9,1943 in Mount Pleasant to Morris
and Alma (Attaway) Justice.
Viewing at the funeral home will be on Friday, May
10, 2019 from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and family visitation from
6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Online condolences at www.tumeymor-

deacon of First Baptist Church Mount Pleasant, where
he was a life time member. However, his health had pre-
vented his attending services for the last two years. Mr.
Walker and his wife had lived in the Monticello Com-
munity for most of their lives.
He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Mary
Hortence Hill Walker. Last year they celebrated 76 years
of marriage. Besides his wife, he is survived by four
children and their spouses, Billy and Carolyn Walker
of Mount Pleasant, Bobby and Cynthia Walker of the
Monticello community, Cher and Billy Underwood of
Mount Pleasant, and John and Beverly Walker of Hutto.
Mr. Walker was the grandfather of ten children, Misty
Clark Fulcher, Jeremy Clark, David Walker, Jeff Clark,
Cara Walker Rogers, Lisa Walker Wax, Eran Walker,
Ben Walker, Cassie Walker Smith and Clint Walker. He
was also blessed with 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents; a
sister, Lurline Walker Mason; and a grandson, Jeremy
Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday,
May 9, 2019 at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home with
visitation being held an hour before the service at the fu-
neral home. Dr. Clint Davis of First Baptist Church will
be officiating. Burial to follow at the Monticello Ceme-
tery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of
your choice.

Mr. Walker was a veter-

Memorials until his re-
tirement. He was a retired
Mount Pleasant High
School held tryouts for
the Colorguard earlier
in April. The 2019-2020
Colorguard will be lead
