o’clock Saturday night, Feb. 14, at

Mary L. Mackey Has
‘Just for Fun Party'
Mary Lou Mackey was honored
on her ninth birthday Thursday by
her mother, Mrs. Robert Mackey,
at the Mackey home, 721 W. Cham-
bers, with a "Just for Fun Party."
The afternoon was spent in play-
'ng gambs of “Farmer in the Dell,"
“May I” and a number of other
games, chosen by the guests.
Pictures were also made of the
group. The guests assembled
around the dining table, which
was centered with a birthday cake,
topped with nine lighted candles.
They sang, “Happy Birthday, Mary
Lou.”
Ice cream and cake were served

Martha Ruth Wofford, LuLane Bea-
ver, Carol Ann Turner, Linda Zim-
merman, Jan Turner, Patricia

Harvey, Carol Jean Carpenter, Ca-
rol Ann Mackey, Mrs. B. J. Jack-
son, and Mrs. Mackey, mother of

fern. Arrangments of red gladioli,
were used in foreground. Vows
were exchanged under candlelight
from the six white tapers, whose
bases were entwined with white
satin ribbon, fern and lillies, and
candelabra which were festooned
wjth white satin streamers.
The door, from which the bride
entered with her uncle, Mr. Wat-
son, was decked with white satin
bows and streamers from the arch-
way.
Candles were lighted by Mrs.
Watson, who was gowned in a win-
ter white dressmaker suit and cor-
sage of red carnations.
W. G. McDonald, of Ft. Worth,
played traditional wedding music.
Ushers were Fred Blue, of Fort
Worth, Sam MeMillan, Waco. Best
man was F. P. Calvin, Jr., Oklaho-
ma . City, brother-in-law of the
-groom. .
Mrs. W. G. McDonald, sister of
the bride, was her only atendant:
She wore a dark brown tailored
suit, with matching accessories.
She wore a shoulder corsage of
gardenias.
Diane Calvin, of Oklahoma City,
wore a blue floor length ffock and
a corsage of white sweetheart ros-
es. Her flower basket was of white
satin with bows and ribbon stream-
ers.
The ring bearer was F. P. Calvin,
III.
The bride wore an original suit
of dove gray. Her accessories were
coffee brown. She carried a white
Bible topped with an orchid and
showers of lillies-of-the-valley. She
wore a strand of pearls which was
a gift of Mrs. Sam McMillan, aunt
of the bride. /
A reception was held in the pa-
tio of the Watson home, with Mr.
Watson and Mrs. B. Hom greeting
the guests. Mrs. Sam McMillan
presided at the white and red satin
heart bride’s book.
The bride’s table was laid with
hand-crochet cloth of Queen Ann's
design over a red and white satin
underskirt. The wedding cake,
which was encircled with red satin
hearts and gardenias, was served
by Mmes. Odessa McMillan and F.‘
P. Calvin. Champagne punch was
served by Mrs. Apn Barrett and
Mrs. Watson.
About 150 guests called.
When the couple left on their
wedding trip to Monterrey and
other cities in Old Mexico, the
bride was wearing a blue gabar-
dine suit, with an orchid corsage.
Her accessories were black.
The bride is a graduate of Pas-
chal High School, Ft. Worth. The
groom, after graduation from high
school, entered the Navy and saw
service overseas. He is now em-
ployed with the Western Electric
Company in Houston, where the
couple will live.
Out-of-town guests were Mrs.
Ann Barrett. Mrs. Bessie Boyd, Mr.
and Mrs. W. G. McDonald. Donna
Gale McDonald, Loyd J. Mallary,
and Hershall Blue, of Fort Worth;
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Calvin and chil-
dren. Diane and F. P. Calvin, III.
Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. Sam
McMillan and sons, Pat and Mic-
key, Waco; and Mr. and Mrs. Oli-
• ver Watson and daughters, Louise
and Joann, Corsicana.
