(We have wondered often why it was that in
spite of all that has heen said ahout Professor Albert
Kinstein and hi- theory of relativity, nobody seems
to know what that theory is or what it is all about.
And we have been waiting and watching for
some brief statement of the theory to be printed in
Home city where Professor Einstein has been inter
viewed .
Now We know why.
Professor Einstein was in Chicago the other day.
and the Chicago Tribune sent a reporter to find out
all about it. And this is what the Tribune said about
the theory:
"The Tribune regrets to inform its readers that
it will be nnable tn present to them Prof. Einstein’s
theory of relativity. Yesterday a reporter was sent
to interview Prof Einstein and get a column story
on the theory. After the professor, through an in-
terpreter, had explained that the most incidental
disenssion of the question would take from three to
four hours, and that a thorough diseourse might he
eompleted in five days, it was decided to confine the
interview to other things.”
Someone said the other day that there were only
twelve persons in the United States whose mentality
was sufficient tn grasp the principles of the theory,
but Professor Einstein langhed and said that was ah.

The famine n China is described by our minis

world’s historv."’ Forty-five million people are di-

The famine was caused by a two y ear drouth that
