Georgetown, Ky., Oct. 8.—The trial
jury in the Youtsey case was complet-
ed early this morning.
As sworn In it Is made up of eleven
democrats and one prohibitionist.
The defense presented a motion to
set aside the jury, setting forth that
the last ten jurors were not bystand-
ers as required by law, but summoned
from a distance, and second, that all
the jurors are of one political faction.
The argument pro and con consum-
ed several hours.
At 2:30 p. m. the trial judge an-
nounced that the motion to set aside
the jury was overruled.
The defense gave notice of appeal
and the case went on.

His Bond Will Remain as It Was Fixed
at $6000.

S. H. Carrington has been Indicted
by the Grayson county, grand Jury for
the murder of James Canary at Col-
llusville. He was arrested on the day
of the homicide and removed to 'Slier-
matt jail, He was subsequently re-
leased on a $6000 bond set at a habeas
corpus hearing before Judge JBliss.
Sheriff Shrewsbury stated today that
the new bond would be forthcoming
tomorrow, Carrington having appear-
ed by counsel today and made all ar-
rangements.

ALIENATED AFFECTIONS.
A Husband Brings His Woes to the
County Attorney.
A peculiar application for legal re-
dress was made at the county attor-
neys office today. A husband com-
plained that while he was temporarily
out of the city a man alienated the
affections of his, the complalnant'a
wife and' that they had gone away
together. He was Informed that the
law didn't fl* any penalty for the theft
of a wife, but was told that charges
of ah Incidental nature nature which
wore explained to him might be tiled,
but he left without tiling .them,

the Jailer-for Her.
Saturday afternoon a young woman
little more,than a child, came in tears
to the office of County Judge Woods
and asked to be allowed to take her
mother, Mrs Sarah Hattartl, from jail
where she had been committed upon
a conviction for lunacy. After secur-
ing from her a promise to be very
careful in the responsibility she was
about to take upon herself, the court
issued an order to Warden Chancellor
and the daughter left a happy woman.
