On .Su'u"ffay October 28th. at-
the very break of "day the one
whom we all knew so familiarly as
Miss Nettie' came to the dawn-
ing of that day that knows no sun
set. .The sudden call of this sweet
young woman in the 24th. year of
her life does not in any sense sug
gest to our minds the thought of
incornpleteuess. We "do not meas
ure life by its length not the dial
of time but the scales of faith
alone can measure out the complete-
ness or incompleteness 6f our life.
In the scales of faith this life plac
ed its best aud noblest gifts; and
tho' the span was short yet who
will say that there was anght lack
ing to tell of completeness. No1'
broken column can suggest to our
thought the life of such an one
it was complete as it stood) beap-
tifnl in its graces rich in its se'r
vice and splendid iu its faith.
Iuto the "early years of this Parish
this child of faith came bringing
as the offering of her devotion a
service of rare worth.
To the children of the infant
class she-hecamp a loving leader
ihd a 'devoted friend. Hnw many
uf thfse li'tlte o16 shall one day
rise and call her blessed only that
final revelation will disclose. In
sacred song aud story she transit-
ed for them the life of her Master
glowing with "au interest. and a
reality that made her tiie very in-
spiration of her class.
Into all the activities of the Par-
ishrshe threw her euergies with-
out stinf or thon&ht of ' &elr 5Ve
have often watched her as she did!
her whollv unselDsh service and
have gone from her presence to
our tasks with stronrsr faith and
better hope. Can we say i.n Bthe
face of such a. life's serviee thiit it
is incomplete? We cannot believe
