production in May increased 4.6
per cent over the total produc-
ed in April and was 8.8 .per
cent greater than production in
May of 1930. The total produc
ed in May was 918,112 barrels.

tributed to the Cast central
and East.Texas production aver
aging 350,162 barrels daily as
compared to 295,510 barrels in
April and 38,000 in May 1930
Daily average produetion in
other sections was listed as fol
lows: Panhandle 59,500 bar-
rels; North Texas 56,700 bar-
rels; West Central Texas, 25,-
875 barrels; West Texas 210,-
438 barrels; Southwest Texas,
60,050 barrels; Coastal area,
155,387 barrels.
