A sample of Brownsville Hon-
duras rice from the Galveston mill
was handed The Herald yesterday.
This rice was grown on the planta-
tion of M. II. Cross and was ship-
ped by him to the mills. It is a fine
specimen and shows that thc rice
production in the Brownsville coun-
try turns out A 1 . In this connec-
tion a remark which a visitor at
present in Brownsville overheard
in Galveston as a shipment of rice
from Brownsville was being tested
At the mill there bears out The
Herald's claim. The remark which
was made by a rice expert was to
the effect that this rice which had
just been received from Brownsville
graded several points higher than
any other rice that had been receiv-
ed at the mill. '

following praise on Wine
of Cardui.:
"Amcag the numerot-s
medicines placed before suf-
fering women for their relief
none can touch McEIree's
Wine of Cardui. It towers
abovethem all as a reliable
female remedy. It simply
drives pain and disease away
and restores health in an incredibly short
period. I have taken great interest in this
medicine for the past two years since it
brought health and strength to me. I
have also recomm.-nd.d it to a number
of my friends and they who have used it
speak of it in the highest terms and I feel
that it is praise well bestowed."
If you are suffering from female
weakness Wine of Cardui is the medi-
cine you need.
You can have health the same as
Miss Finley if you will take the Wine
of Cardui treatment. If you need ad-
