heard at the High School Audi-
torium Saturday, as one dis-
tinguished singer after another
regaled the large audience pre-
sept at the East Texas Singers
Convention.
The program moved with a
vim, on number following an-
other in rapid succession, with-
out any lost motion or waiting
between selections.
The array of talent included
leading singers and musicians,
both professional and amateur,
from many states. Many of
them are not only singers, but
entertainers as well, and the
joy that they take in their per-
formance is reflected by- the
enthusiasm and interest with
which their offerings are re-
ceived by the audience.
Although most of the num-
bers are religious, a number
