life and a fallen brown leaf repre-
sents death. The tones of this study
are in gold, bronze and black. '
There is a new group of camel-
each with its small accompanying
figurine. One especially charming
picture in this group is " Septem-
ber Mom,” a white camellia
against a Shangri-La setting.
Another picture which ' I espe-
cially liked was "Old Sycamore.”
which hangs on the south wall.
This is a sturdy sycamore which
holds t slanting stance on the
bank of a stream. It is silhouetted
against a winter sky with smaller
trees in the background Next to
this painting is a still life which
incorporates many lovely colors,
blended charmingly and richly.
There is a new tapestry hung in
the same place as the last one, on
the east wall. This is done in the
manner of th € 16th century Flem-
ish tapestries and is an original
design by Kleiser.
Across the room (and this is a
good spot from which to view this
painting) is “Winter Sunlight.”
Pale sunlight filters through light
winter clouds and creates shadows
and light around a picturesque
barn and two straw stacks. Light
snow covers the ground.
Also on the east van is a lovely
is simply a colorful arrangement
of fruit with a small figurine in
an attitude of thanksgiving. To
look at this picture reminds one
that there is much for which to be
thankful and-makes one glad that
we have a special season in which
to count our blessings,
These are the pictures I liked
best—your choice may be entirely
different. I plan to go back for a
longer visit
