that the recent strike in the coal industry caused a total loss to the
country of $l,l#0,000jBC0. According te the estimates of the American
Educational Association, given by Mr Bradley, chis loss was dis

amounting to $450,000,000;-------
over $300,000,000; to the public, by reason of scardity and increased
coat of fuel, $400,000,000; to the mine operators, profits of $40;

Statee the enormous economic waste of the strike Mr Bradley added:
“If every family in America were to fay $45 it would barby cover the
loss."
It is noticeably that the operators’ fees was less than that of any
other group, while the fees of the mine "orker ^^^ia^ nod
