“I had reached the alarming weight of 198
pounds—I tried several kinds of tablets but to no
avail—I had just about given up hope when a
friend suggested SAN-GRI-NA. Without hav-
ing much faith I tried it, and the results were
amazing. In a few short weeks I had lost 90 (
pounds. And now, just three months since L
started with SAN-GRI-NA I weigh only 150
pounds. I can give it my highest recommenda-

What enthusiasm it arouses every lay!
The same rare flavor that has made this mellow blend the largest
selling high-grade coffee in America is daily winning new praise at
The American-St3tesman Cooking School.
Some women there are still in Austin who have never tasted it. To
them, Maxwell House Coffee is coming as a delightful surprise, a
new experience in the art of good cooking.
Years ago, Maxwell House Coffee first won fame at the historic
old Maxwell House in Nashville. Wherever the guests of this noted
hotel went, they carried with them the memory of this coffee-a
special blend of mellow richness.

Since SAN-GRI-NA has been introduced in
America, it has met with such success that Doctors
Specialists, Nurses, and Dr. Rudolph, former Healtl
Commissioner, recommend it to fst people as abso
lutely harmless and most effective. If you have
been fat for years । if your case is most obstinate; il
you have tried everything advertised without suc
cess; if you suffer from puffing, high blood presssure
tired feeling—all due to obesity—you owe it to
yourself to get a package of SAN-GRI-NA, take
two small tablets before each meal and just see wha
it can do. Not only should SAN-GRI-NA do awaj
with fat, but you should feel a change in your entir
system. A great many people have been benefited
by SAN-GRI-NA and are sending in most gratify
ing reports. These cases vary in reduction, some ii

taking SAN-GRI-NA they felt 100 per cent better

more effective than when the

Gold Outlining.
Motifs wrought in this embroid-
ery around the lower portion of
separate blouses or those forming
the simulated blouse effects in one-
piece frocks are noticeable in ad-
vance styles: Reds, yellows, pur-
ples, blue and greens in all the
various tints that are 80 popular

es. The outlining is gold thread
whatever the filling colors. This is
a distinguishing characteristic of
this type of needlework.

Applying Design.
Designs may be large for cos-
tumes or smaller for accessories.
Frequently the motif is used on
"the front of the frock only, though
it is apt to be extended all the way
around the blouse. Sometimes a
single motif will ornament the
skirt motifs or a border of the
work about a parasol covered with
plain silk is decidedly, chic and
quite in line with the coming fash-
ion for fancy parasols. Pockets on
frocks may be ornamented with
the work, and bags and other ac-
cessories are smart with such, em-
broidery.

Good For Many Uses.
It may be mentioned that, while
the work is particularly featured
just now on articles for the ward-
robe, it lends Itself admirably, to
sofa cushions and table scarfs In
handsome materials.
A design with directions will be
sent free, with the compliments of
this paper, to anyone who, with a
