tion, meeting last week, out-
lined plans for the 1964-65 Iola
Homecoming event to be held
Friday, Oct 9.
J. W. Bess of Iola, president,
presided. Other officers are

dent; Mrs. B. B. Hicks, secre-
tary; and Ernest Pritchett,
treasurer. . •
The annual Homecoming
gri dbattle will be between
the Iola Bulldogs and Buf-
falo. Game time has been set
at 8 p.m.
Invitations are being pre-
pared to surrounding com-
munities to enter floats,
horseback riders, carts, wag-
ons and appropriate vehicles
in a parade to be held Sat-
urday, Oct 10. Melvin Neville
and Dave Snook of Iola are
parade chairmen.
A basket supper for all Iola
exes and local hosts will be
held in the Iola school gym-
nasium Saturday night An
informal "sing-a-long" will
be presented following the
supper with musical contribu-
tions to be solicited from the
ex-students and their chil-
dren.
