Funeral services for Will
Loftin, age 69, of Navasota
were held at 2 p.m. Wednes-
day, Jan. 27, from the chapel
of the Lindley-Robertson Fu-
neral Home.
The Rev. Alblee Butzke of
Hempstead officiated. Inter-
ment was in the Peach Creek
Cemetery.
Mr. Loftin passed away at
Mrs. Nancy Henderson, wid-
ow of the late Rev. Franklin
S. Henderson, passed away
at Dallas Tuesday, Jan. 19.
The body was taken to
Houston Thursday for burial
in the Forrest Park Cemetery.

We had a downpour of rain
in the early hours of Thurs-
day bringing 4.8 inches of
rain and burning out an elec-
trical transformer near Mrs.
Hale's house. When it was
fixed, smoke was observed
coming from the house so her
electricity had to be cut off
until the source of the smoke
could be discovered.
