Brownsville, Nov. fl.—President-elect
Harding has accepted an invitation to
take part in the Armistice Day celebra-
tion here, R. B. Creager, at whose home
Harding will stay during his vacation
at Point Isabel, announced today. TIte
celebration will include a parade in
which numerous South Texas towns
will participate. The procession will
disband at Fort Brown where Harding
is scheduled to deliver an address.
Plans lire virtually completed nt
Point Isabel for the reception of the
president-eleet and his party. Upon
his arrival Harding mid Ills entire
party will bo taken to tl Country
Club for luncheon. The afternoon
probably will be spent on the gulf
links and later a trip will be made to
Point Isabel in automobiles.
Plans to bring about a meeting be-
tween Hardi gnand Alvaro Obregon,
president eieet of Mexico, while the
senator is vacationing in this section,
were dropped, out of deference to
Harding’s desire for a complete rest,
it was announce dtoday. It was also
decided that inviting the Mexican
leader here might complicate the Mcxi
can situation, whiele is expected to be
cleared soon by American recognition
of the Mexican government.

publie schools, informed those in charge
of the Boy Seout movement that there
were 900 boys in the city between 12
ami 18 years of age, eligible for Hoy
Seout training. Tills information brings
proof that Cleburne can support a num-
ber of Boy Scout troops. A troop is
composed of about thirty boys.
J. P. Fitch f Dallas will be here Mon-
day and the drive to put in n first-class
council here w ill be started off in a
businesslike manner.
One recommendation fo rthe Boy
Seout movement is the fact that no
boy who has ever hud the training will
speak lightly of it. He will say that it
has done mue hto bring about his phy-
sical and mental development and timat
he would not be without it. If this is
true the Cleburne boy* who join the
troops, soon to be organized, will get
a training that will be beneficial to
them in every way.
