Some time since a drum of
lubricating oil and a double ac-
tion pump was stolen from the
Dixie Filling Station, and the
Sheriffs Department which
has been working on the case
since, Sunday located" the tank
and pump. They . found it
buried near the mill of Wm.
Mitchell about ten miles
southwest of here.
Bill Glezen and'Dee Young-
blood were arrested, and Mr.
Mitchell was requested to ap-
pear Monday and give bond.
Mr Purant Youngblood was
with them part of the time the
night of the theft, but it was
not believed he had anything
to do with it, and they just
carried him by his home.
Glezen made bond Sunday
night.

On Tuesday night, at eight
o’clock the Gilmer Band will
give a concert at East Moun-
tain school. In addition to the
musical numbers several read-
ings will be given by Gilmer
talent.
These out-in-the-c o u n t y
tours by the band are in the
nature of good will trips, to
cultivate mutual friendliness
between the people of this city
and those who reside in its
trade territory. Trade trippers
from neighboring counties have
been encroaching upon Gilmer’s
territory, especially on the
eastern side of the county, and
the • business men here should
accompany th bard on its
trips, in order to show our in-
terest in our customers.
The Chamber of Commerce'
asks that as many business
men as possible be on hand at
East Mountain tomorrow
night.
