CORNER FIFTH AND BRAZOS. ’
Dr. Biederwolf outlined some of the
plans for the revivak
The revival has specially trained mu-
siciana and a large numoer of singers
from the varlous church choirs. The
choir has 600 chairs. Among Dr. Bied-
er wolf’s assistants are four singers,
who compose the quartet. The music
if the best ever arranged for a re-
vival meeting in Austin.
The Hyde Park, South Auetin and
East Avenue Churches will continue to
hold services on Sunday night because
the distance to the tabernacle is so
great that many persons would not at-
tend. All other churches, however, will
dismiss night services.
The first choir practice was held in
(he tabernacle yesterday afternoon.
Singers from nearly every choir in
Austin were present and their en-
thusiasm was of a nature- to indicate
that the music will be contributory in
a large way to its success.
Yeung People Meet.
The young people’s church organiza-
tions met at the tabernacle yesterday,
afternoon at 6 o’clock. Rev. E. C. Mil-
ler. one of the revival party, addressed
the young people, telling them of the
rewards of Christian service.
Dr. Biederwolf will outline in detail
the plans for the revival at a called
meeting of the Austin Ministerial As-
sociatlon this morning at 9130 at the
First Presbyterian Church. Pastors of
.all Austin churches have been Invited
to be prevent, so they may fully under-
I stand the plans. It is probable some
• of the work will be divided among the
• local ministers.
। Pastors and mombers of every church
in Austin assisted in building the big
I tabernacle. Very little of the labor was
' paid for, most of it having been done
। by volunteer work. . Many of Austin’s
! prominent business men and some of
the University men donned overalls
, I and sawed lumber or used the hammer.
! Those who heard" Dr. Biederwolf de-
I liver his first sermon were impressed
’ with his straightforwardness and many
expressed themselves as feeling sure
the revival will be a success. The
tabernacle will seat pproximately 6000
and before the meetings are in session
a week it is expected that it will be
filled to capacity each nigh.

initial hearings of the Board of Water
Engineers will be held in San Antonio
this week, when Chairman Nagle, Com-
missioners Wilson and Gore and Sec-
retary Gore will listen to land own-
ers on Medina River and the one on
the Rio Grande River relative to fix-
ing irrigation and water rights,
There is a possibility of several large
suits, being filed to test the rights of
some of the owners of riparian rights
just below the Medina dam. In this
section there are many land owners
who are Interested in riparian rights
and there has also been contention
among those below theMdina dam and
tho owners of the dam relative tv the
full .quota of rights of each.
In as much as these hearings will be
initial hearings and many of the ques-
tions propounded and acted upon by
the board will * serve as rulings for
the entire State where similar inter-
ests are involved, the board may ask
that some be taken into the courts and
construed there.
The opening service of the union re-
vival in the big tabernacle built last
week, waa held last night. The con-
gregation was composed of members of
