Inmates are being cared for of whom 10

Graves who visits them dally and Mr.

The hours kept at this institution are
regulated by the watchman who goes
on duty at 10 o'clook at night at whloh
time he strikes a bell! the signal for all
to go to bed. The hours are then struck
regularly until ft o'clock in tne morning
when all arise and prepare for break-
fast. This bell striking serves the
double purpose of letting the superin
tendent know the time and of know-
ing too that his watchman Is
not asleep. A bath room for Ihe males
located In tbe hospital and is regu
larly taken advantage of by them; more
so than the women who also bavo a
good bath-house but who have to be
compelled to bathe. The hydraulic ram
located a few hundred yards from the
building supplies every part of the bouse

provided at supper. No milk is used
