The value of a National convention
to producers of all classes of fabrics
- 1s* shown by a very etinserwatlva-sst!^ -
mate of* what it will cost delegates to
get ready for the international Asso-
ciation of Rotary Clubs' Convention at
Cincinnati July 18-20. Two hundred
and eighty thousand dollars for cloth-
ing alone is the stimate of a Cincin-
nati clothing man in this matter, and
his figures can not be termed extrava-
gant. There will be 5000 men at the
convention and 3000 Indies. Every man
will want a new suit and wary woman
a new dress for the trip to Cincinnati.
The men will average not less than
$26 per suit and Indies will gurely not
spend less than the men. Men there-
fore, will spend 8126,000 for clothing
and women, $76,000. All visiting Ro-
tarians and their wives are to appear
in some fancy costume at the carni-
val nt the convention and also in the
big street parude. It is estimated that
these costumes, with their accessorles,
will cost 110 each, which makes 160,000
more expended for fabrics.
The street parade will be on the or-
der of an election night affair of the
otddnys Torches, lanterns, nelsemak-
