We, at Blind Devotion, would like to simplify matters and explain something to you. A 10% off
sale at Blind Devotion can usually save you more than a 50% off sale at their place. This is
because our regular price (the price we charge when there is no sale) is much lower than theirs.
So you can see that Blind Devotion will save you some real money even when there isn’t a sale.
But don’t take our word for it. Compare us with them. 50% off is not always what it seems to
be. Also ... we will be glad to explain what our sales mean to you in hard cold cash. You’ll find
examples below.

" The Allen facility is respon-
sible for testing and assembling
the components of their swit-
ching systems, using chips and
boards purchased from other
companies, but utilizing its own
exclusive design.
“The systems we make are
enormous,’’ says Lynn Carey,
corporate communications
Omanager, explaining that the
ITE’s (Integrated Terminal
Equipment) assembled at In-
teCom are not regular phones,
but are capable of sending both
voice and data.
’ A variety of phones is offered,
with between six and 30 lines,
but these are not machines
efound in a home or even a small
"business. For instance, the com-
pany’s first system, the IBX
S/40, comprised 4,000 ports,
each serving both a voice and a
data line. Four thousand ports,
by the way, translates to 4,000
employees using the system.
Because InteCom systems
are so large, explains Carey,
they have to be reliable, so
meverything is tested twice, with
“a second system taking over in
the event of a failure.
Although InteCom’s major
stockroom is automated, the
company is in the process of im-
plementing more factory
automation; some of the work
still requires manual skills.
Other products the company
Qis working on include InteMail,
a system which allows a caller
to leave messages without the
need for an answering machine,
and a tele-work station produc-
ed in conjunction with Wang
Laboratories.
The work station will com-
bine the telephone and data ter-
minal to include all necessary
functions in one small device.
O “It’s the way communica-
tions is going in corporate
America,” Carey relates. “A
healthy increase in work station
sales is expected.
The Allen-based company
seems not only to have found its
niche in the telecommunica-
tions industry, but it also has
—been progressive in its ap-
"proach to employee relations.
Cafeterias, racquetball
courts, weight rooms and locker
rooms are all found within the
facility.
Although the company reduc-
ed its total work force by 200 in
March by layoffs, Carey says
InteCom is, and intends to re-
