New Cinerama
Film Proves
To Be Popular, . |
When the second Cinerama pro-
duction. "Cinerama Holiday," op-
ened in the first few Cinerama
theaters, there was much specula-
tion by crities and proas as to
whether it could equal the audi-
ence popularity or boxoffice gross
es established by the first attrac-
tion, "This is Cinerama.” . I
The Melba Theater, Dallas, op-
ened 'Cinerama Holiday’ April
27 after a 10-month run of "This
is Cinerama” Results to date in-.
dicate that "Cinerama Holiday”
is an even more popular enter-
taiament, aa the theater has at-1
ready played to more than 100,000
"Cinerama Holiday" patrons, and;
advance ticket orders reaching I
into October far exceed in volume1
last year's record breaking orders ।
