Lee Way Motor Freight Co. truck
Monday night south of Denton on
U.S. Highway 77. .
Missing are five cartons of
drugs, five boxes of portable sew-
ing machines and one carton of
gift merchandise. The shipment
was being carried to dealers in
other states, and was lost when
the back doors of the truck open-

In City Theft
Charges of misdemeanor theft
were filed today on two 18-year-
cld Denton youths, one boy and
one girl.
They were charged with break-
ing into a candy and cigar case
Wednesday night at McBride Ser-
vice Station, 416 E. McKinney,
taking three boxes of cigars and
some candy.

1, Denton, and Georgia Fay
Cochran, 11, of 1000 Johnson, were
in city jail this morning after be-
ing arrested by Police Chief I. E.
(Andy) Anderson at 1 a.m. today.
Three juveniles who allegedly ac-
companied them were released to
the custody of their parents.
Anderson answered the. com-
plaint by Weldon McBride. oper-
ator of the service station, and
was about to leave the station
when a car full* of youths turned
off E. McKinney and started north
on Bell Ave. Anderson said he
gave chase, and the youths turned
east on Withers, throwing out
two boxes of cigars and a box of
