ry, Clare Farlow, Jonlyn Chewn-
ing, Beverly Kennedy, Paula Heer-
mans and Carol Pannell.
Denton merchants donated ap-
proximately 25 prizes which were
awarded during the evening:
Mrs. Bill Brammer, refreshment
committee chairman, was assisted
By Mrs. Jack Messer and Mrs.
Zeke Martin. Homemade pies and
coffee were served
Mrs. J. D. Hubble presided at
the serving table which was cover-
ed with a brown cloth and decoc-
ted with a dried arrangement in
autumn colors. 'Mrs. Joe Sherrill
was in charge of tabla decoration.

night at the Woman’s (Tub Build-
ing in Denton. Theme of the show
was "The Flair Look" directed
and narrated by Mrs. H C. Shan-

A school of instruction for Wo-
men's Missionary Unions of Den-
ton County Baptist churches will
be held Thursday at 9:45 a.m. in
the chapel of the First Baptist
Church in Denton. A sack lunch
will be served at noon: the nur-
aery will be open.

Miss Currie, who recently re-
ceived the PhD degree from
Northwestern University and was
also chosen the outstanding wom-
an of the year in Pi Lambda The-
ta, national business women's
fraternity, .Is a member of the
Kappa Delta alumnae board, ser-
ving as Gamma Beta membership
chairman. •
More than 100 guests were re-
ceived by Mrs. T. M. Cunningham,
president, and Mrs. Blair. Mrs.
Edgar L. McReynolds presided at
the guest book which was hand
decorated by Mrs. Robert L Mar-
quis Jr.
The refreshment table was cen-
tered by a floral arrangement of
green and white. Napkina and
mints matched the arrangement.
A fruit punch was centered with
an ice ring of white roses, the
sorority flower. Presiding at the
table were Miss Msude Garnett
and Mrs. Marquis.
Other members of the house par-
ty were Miu Jessie Acker. Mrs.
Venson Hall, Mrs. Earl Asher and
Miu Elizabeth Lomax. sponsor of
Gamma Beta chapter. The chap-
ter's executive board members
were also preaent.
