school sweetheart, Richard (Dick) Byron Templeton, on
August 12,1956 in Lancaster, California. Together they
raised three children in California. While living in Cali-
fornia, Peggy was active in the National Charity League
- San Fernando Valley Chapter. She was passionate
about tennis and played in various women’s leagues in

teering with Titus County Cares. She was very proud to
be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolu-
tion. She loved dancing, playing dominoes, and was a
great story teller. She was also an incredibly generous
person. Her home was your home and her kitchen was
always open. She got true joy from serving others. She
also made the best chocolate icebox pie in Texas!
She is survived by her loving son, Gatlen Sisk and wife
Suzy Sisk of Coppell; daughter in law Linda Sisk of Na-
cogdoches; and grandchildren, J.C. Sisk, Natalie Towe
and husband Kevin, Aubrie Sisk, Maddox Moore, and
Cole Sisk, brother in law Pat Sisk and wife Suzanne Sisk
and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband J.O. Sisk,
son Dale Sisk, and daughter Dorothy Ellen Sisk, her
parents, her five siblings, Ilene Bradley, Lloyd Rob-
inson, LaNell Hertz, Ray Robinson, Jeannette Kite,
and first husband Kenneth Bowdish(KIA WWII).

Pinson, Tennessee, grandchildren; Justin Smith, Laura
Wilhite, Jared Myracle, Rachel Craig, Susan Smith, Jacob
Myracle, Hannah Hubbard, Amy Hubbard, Charlie Hub-
bard, great grandchildren; Tristian Greenlee, Braden
Wilhite, Leah Craig, Clara Craig, Cilla Smith-Tunnell,
sister; Nancy Brown of Maple Springs.
Preceded in death by his parents Buford and Myrtle
Graf, daughter; Amy Graf, 1-brother and 4 sisters.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Sunday, January 31,
2021 at Maple Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Leslie
Rhea and Bro. Dwayne Wilson officiating. The family
will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, Jan-
uary 30,2021. Burial will follow at Binnon Cemetery.

PATTON
Elmer George Patton, Jr, of Talco, passed away at his
home on January 23, 2021 at the age of 88. He was born
on December 17, 1932 in Sweetwater, Texas to Elmer
George Patton Sr. and Carrie Cosby Patton.
Mr. Patton was a member of Calvary Baptist Church,
in Talco, where he served as a deacon, he also was a Ma-
son and Gideon. He married Maxine Rowlett on June 15,
1952. After their honeymoon he went to work for Mag-
nolia Oil Company and worked there 40 years until her
retired in 1992, when Mobil moved out of the Talco area.
He is survived by his children; Blake Patton and wife
Dee Dee of Tomball, TX, Cindy Harrison and husband
Mike from Talco, TX, Scott Patton of Tomball, TX, grand-
children; Allison Patton and Randy Rau, Mitchell and
Heather Harrison, Steven and Meg Patton, Tracie and
Jim Witt, Stephanie and Kyle McKenzie, Holly Patton
and Jake Patton, great grandchildren; Bailey Peters, Ad-
dison Patton, Emily Patton, Emily Witt, Dylan Harrison,
Todd Patton, James Witt, Finn McKenzie, Piper McKen-
zie and Zoe Witt, sister; Helen Pendleton from Canyon
Lake, TX, brothers-in-law; John Rowlett, Joe Law both
of Forney, TX, close family members; Carrie and Johnny
Moore, longtime caregiver; Sylvia Rousseau-Vite.
Preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mary Max-
ine Patton.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 26,
2021 at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Kerry Adamek
and Rev. Mike Kessler officiating. The family will receive
friends one-hour prior service.

passed away on Saturday,

Floyd David Goolsby, Jr., of Forney, TX, passed away
on January 23,2021 at his residence with his loving wife
by his side. He was born on June 4,1947 in Corona, CA to
Floyd David Goolsby, Sr. & Edith (Awtry) Goolsby.
He was in the United States Navy active and reserves
for a total of 19 years serving in the Vietnam War on
the USS Massey & the USS Hassayampa. He attended
The Ohio State University and later worked as a com-
mercial electrician for Pantec, Moncello Power Plant
and retired from Kimberly Clark. He was a member of
the American Motorcycle Association; he loved family,
gardening, fishing, traveling, collecting movies, wood-
working and so much more.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Goolsby; son &
daughter-in-law, Paul & Alyson Goolsby; daughter &
son-in-law, Amy Dallas & James Nance; daughter & son-
in-law, Veronica & Dr. Chris Wright; daughter & son-in-
law, Jennifer & Justin Rose; grandchildren, Rachel Dal-
las, Courtney Wright, Alex & Aden Rose, Tyler & Kody
Goolsby; great grandchild, Landon Kohler; sister, Linda
Keith, niece and nephew Shannon and Randy Orsborn,
Michael and Karen Richey, uncle, Eugene Awtry.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27,
2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bates Cooper Sloan
Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00
AM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Adams Chapel
Cemetery.

BAKER
Albert Baker was born March 28,1937 and died Janu-
ary 24,2021 at the age of 83.
He was a pastor, evangelist, father, brother, grand-
father, and friend. He was a member of the Muskogee
Creek Nation. He was born in Red Mound/Okema,
Oklahoma and moved at a young age to California. He
served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1960.
He graduated from Grand Canyon University in 1965 and
then Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in 1968.
He received a Bachelor of Arts for his college degree and
Masters of Divinity for his Seminary degree. He was a
full-time pastor for 42 years and a part-time pastor for
12 years. He loved to preach and teach God’s word and
he ministered to so many people over the years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Butler Baker and
Elsie Lenora Remey Baker, as well as two brothers, Rob-
ert and Wesley, and a sister, Jane. In addition, he is pre-
deceased by his son, Allan, just one week prior to his
death.
He is survived by his brothers, David, Tom, Billy Joe,
William and Arliss and his sisters, Vera Elizabeth, Iona,
and Elsie June.
He is also survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Al-
