dio and TV sets and Crosley Re-

Ralph Killingsworth, who has
been with Monroe since the organ-
ization of his first store in Denton
in IMO, is the manager of the
appliance department located in
the old store. However, the appli-
ance repair shop is located in the
rear of the new store.
During the celebration, over $500
worth of prizes will be given away.
Thursday at 8 p.m. a dinette
suite will be given away and Thurs-
day night of next week, Nov. 1.

A three day grand opening and
a week-long sale has boon announc-
ed to celebrate the formal open-
ing of an additional Monroe Fur-
niture and Appliance Store—for-
merly the Economy Furniture and
Appliance Store—at 21$ W. Oak,
. by owner J. Stanley Monroe.
. Thursday. Friday and Saturday
have been set aside as the days
for the formal opening and the
sale will continue through Thurs-
day of next week.
“The additional store is just
across the street from where we
have been in business since 1946
and we are opening the second
store in order to have more space
• to display more merchandise and
give our customers a wider and
better selection,” Monroe said.
Actually the addition of the new
store will triple the floor space
for the expanding Denton firm
The new store to in a building
with $.000 square feet of floor
space and is owned by Mrs. Ann
Curtis.,
Monroe estimated it cost him
and Mrs'. Curtis “about $8,000 ” to
remodel the store.
“We did all the decorating and
floor covering," he said.
The additional store is broken
into departments by the use of
