Wesley Morrows
LITTLE ELM (Special) - Mr.
and Mrs. Wesley Morrow were
honored with a wedding shower in
the primary room of the Little
Elm School. Approximately 60
guests honored the couple, includ-
ing out of town guests from Den-
ton. Lewisville and Aubrey.
Mrs. J. M Harris registered
guests and Mrs. J. B. Webb
was in charge of hospitality and
refreshments.
Assisting Mrs. Webb were Mrs,
Homer Lambert and Mrs. Roscoe
Dennis. An arrangement of daisies
decorated the table. Extending

ing refreshments A bouquet of
yellow and white roses in a milk
glass container decorated the
register table. Floral arramige-
ments in her chosen colors were
used throughout the home.
The bride - elect's mother, Mrs.
Herman Druce, and her sister,
Martha Druce, assisted the hon-
oree in displaying gifts as they
were opened.

Meeting Set
Members of the Cooper Creek
Home Demonstration Club will
have an all - day session Monday
at the clubhouse. Members are to
bring materials for waterpainting
and a sack lunch. _
The meeting was announced
Wednesday, following a demon-
tion by Mrs. Myrtle Negy.
Mrs. Negy, home demonstration
agent, told the group how to as-
semble a sewing center for the
home, and demonstrated stay
stitching garments and straighten-
ing material.
Mrs. Lawrence Powell and Mrs.
Joe Bedner were introduced as
new members and Mrs. Gobel Bry-
ant was a guest. Mrs. Clarence Ar-
go was hostess for the meeting.
Mrs. Argo and Mrs. Frank Far-
mer sang a duet and Mrs. W. A.
Beeman accompanied them at the
piano. Mrs. Aubrey Davis discuss-
ed the district meeting in Com-
merce and Mrs. Jesse Cagle gave
the ‘council report. Mrs. B. L.
Stevenson presided during a busi-
ness session.

lot Point El Progress© Club won
first place in the state for club
reports of clubs with fewer than
500 members at the Texas Federa-
tion of Women’s Clubs convention
in Fort Worth this week.
Attending the convention from
Pilot Point were Mrs. L. O. Ander-
sen. Mrs. Earl J. Selz. Mrs. Char-
les Parton, Mrs Willis Pedigo and
Mrs. J. L. Ginnings.
Mrs. Ginnings was Installed
president of District Two at the
Wednesday night session during
which Mrs. Ben W. Boyd of Den-
ton was installed state president.

the Current Century Department.
Mrs. Freeman appointed Mrs.
James Stone, program chair-
man. to be assisted by Mrs. By-
ron Hundley and Mrs. Dick Hast-
ings. The study subject for next
year will be Texas Trends.
Mrs. L. A. Nelson was appoint-
ed membership chairman; Mrs.
Ben Ivey Jr. and Mrs. Charlie
Johnson will assit her. Mrs. Jack
Gray will be the telephone com-
mittee chainhan.
Other charter members are
Mmes. Gene Boynton, Hollis Cal-
vert, Bob Clark, Walter Lea,
Jack Messer, Robert Ossman. Bill
D. Werner, Oren Whilehead and
Miss Lola Lee Montgomery.
The club will be recognized at
the Monday General Ariel Club
meeting.

Secretaries Assn, will meet Mon-
day at 7 p.m. at the TWU Club-
house. A buffet dinner will be
followed by a card party. Guests

Mr. and Mrs. Homer L. Roper of Fort Worth have an-
nounced the engagement and approaching marriage
of their daughter, Lanora Marie, to Ensign Robert W.
Callahan, Naval Air Station at Pensacola, Fla. He
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Felix W. Callahan, 816 W.
Sycamore, Denton. The couple will be married June 21
at 8 p.m. in the Polytechnic Methodist Church of Fort
Worth with the Rev. Martin Thomas, pastor of the First
Presbyterian Church U.S. in Denton, officiating. Miss
Roper, a June graduation candidate at NTSC, is a
member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Callahan, a grad-
