Most of the correspondents —
there’s one in almost every com-
munity — are housewives who
have a keen interest in community
and women’s events.
Like the birdwatcher searching
for a new bird, these correspon-
dents keep an eye open for new
happenings in their community.
Work of these correspondents is
correlated with functions of the
Record . Chronicle office staff.

The reporter’s two most impor-
tant items — the Unitad States,
mails and the telephone industry
— serve to keep readers of the
Denton Record - Chronicle posted
on news events irasprawling four-

time correspondents keep a steady
flow of news events flowing into
offices of the Record . Chronicle

to the Dallas Denton County line on
the south, and from Chico on the
west? to McKinney on the east,
these correspondents cover news
events for readers of the Record-
