Alderman Crooker submitted a com-
munication from the Austin Sanita-
rium stating that they had paid in er-
ror for city taxes the sum of $133.75,
and petitioning the council to refund
the amount. Referred to the commit-

Yesterday in the case of L. w. Cul-
yer against W. F. Boyette, suit on note,
judgment was rendered by the court
for the plaintiff by agreement. The
case was in the Fifty-third district
court.

matter came up for discussion last
night after the council had adjourned,
and Mayor Pro Tem Shelley state
that the document had’ not been left

his belief had it been prepared. It is
expeeted tha! 2 wili be ready at the
councils next tneeting, at which time it
is hoped that his honor will be present
in person to preside over the council of
city fathers.
At last nights meeting of the city
council Alderman Crooker introduced a
resolution which raised a hornet’s nest.
It read as follows:
