My dear Bruce:
I have to be in Houston on Wednesday next to have my eyes
checked by Dr. Goar. I would like to take advantage of the oppor-
tunity to have you take lunch with me if your plans and engagements
permit. My appointment is supposed to be at 11:30. It is seldom
met with any degree of promptness by the doctor, so I suppose it
would be one o'clock before I could undertake to be at your office.
If you are not in a position to make a definite appoint-
ment on receipt of this letter, please take a memorandum to tele-
phone me over the Kempner wi.re, Rural 18.
We missed you at the directors' meeting of Imperial 6ugar
Company. We declared a dividend, but nothing else of importance
happened.
