Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
have bought one of Mrs.

Charles Tillett has returned to
San Diego, Calif., after a furlough
spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
J. E. Tillett, and family. Charles
had just returned from Korea.
Grace Allsup is still confined to
the City-County Hospital and is re-
ported to be no better. She has
been there 12 weeks. Her friends
hope she will soon be able , to re-
turn home.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Green en-
joyed a trip to Corpus Christi
while Mrs. Green was off from her
duties at the Greenville Avenue
State Bank.
J. M. Bounds and Walter Hamm
were in Decatur week before last
to attend the funeral of Mr. Bob
Bounds, a cousin of J. M. Bounds.
The Franklin Club honored one
of its members, Mrs. T. L. Blood-
worth with a pink and blue show-
er at the schoolhouse on Wednes-
day. She received many pretty
gifts.
Little Carolyn Bloodworth is re-
ported to be sick list. Her friends
hope she will soon be well again.
Mrs. C. W. Williams is able to be
out after undergoing an eye opera-
tion recently.
Tom Chandler of McKinney spent
the week-end with Ronnie Fisher
and enjoyed horseback riding.
Mrs. Qra Greer and Giles and Mrs.
J. M. Bounds went to the lake over
the week-end on an outing. There
they met Mr. and Mrs. Toy Hayes
•of Dallas and Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Hayes of McKinney.
Mr.. and Mrs. Walter Hamm and
family visited her brother, Othel
Brown and family at Pleasant
Grove Sunday. On their return
home they visited Joey and Jim
Lewis at Plano. At McKinney they
were involved in a car wreck with
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mitchell of Mc-
Kinney. No one was hurt, but both
cars were damaged. Mrs. Mitchell
was the former Betty Ruth Reed
and used to reside in the Franklin
Community.
Donald Hamm and Doyle Dean,
sixth graders of the Prosper School
attended a class party at the Ritz
Theater in McKinney, given by
their teacher, Mrs. Vanice Hamm,
Friday night.
Alvin Leigh flew to Houston last
week to spend the week-end with
his brother, Truman Leigh, and
wife in their new home. He was
only 59 minutes flying from Love
field to Houston.
Master George Leigh stuck a nail
in his foot and had to go to McKin-
ney for a tetenus shot Tuesday.
Marvin Gerron has returned
from Germany from the service.
Glad to have you back, Marvin.

will be held in the City of Prince-
ton, Texas, on the 14th day of May
1955 on the propositions and at
the ’place more particularly set
forth in the resolution adopted by
the City Council of the City of
Princeton, on the 26th day of April,
1955, calling said election, which is
as follows:

CALLING AN ELECTION ON
THE QUESTION OF THE IS-
SUANCE OE $15,000.00 WA-
TERWORKS SYSTEM IM-
PROVEMENT AND EXTEN-
SION BONDS; AND $35,000.00
SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVE-
MENT AND EXTENSION
BONDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of
the City of Princeton, Texas, deems
it advisable to issue the bonds of the
said City for the purposes herein-
after mentioned;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PRINCETON, TEXAS:
1 That an election be held in
said City of Princeton, Texas, on
the 14th day of May, 1955, at
which election the following propo-
sitions shall be submitted:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
‘Shall the City Council of the
. City of Princeton, Texas, be au-
thorized to issue the bonds of
said City in the sum of $15,000.-
00, maturing serially in such
installments as may be fixed
by the City Council, the maxi-
mum maturity date being not
more thn Forty (40) years from
their date, and bearing inter-
est at a rate not to exceed
Three and One-half (312%)
per cent per annum, and to
levy a tax sufficient to pay the
interest as it accrues and prin-
cipal as it matures on said is-
sue of bonds, for the purpose uf
improving and extending the
Waterworks System of said
City, as authorized by the Con-
stitution and laws of the State
of Texas.’
PROPOSITION NO. 2
‘Shll the City Council of the
City of Princeton, Texas, be
authorized to issue the bonds of
said City in the sum of $35,
000.00, maturing serially in
such installments as may be
‘Shall the City Council of the
maximum maturity date being
not more than Forty (40) years
from their date, and bearing
interest at a rate not to exceed
Three and One-half (3%%) per
cent per annum, and to levy a
tax sufficient to pay the inter-
est as it accrues and principal
as it matures on said issues of
bonds, for the purpose of im-
proving and extending the
Sewer System of said City, as
authorized by the Constitution
and laws of the State of Texas.’
22. That said election shall be held
at R. E. Clements’ Hardware Store,
within said City, and the following
named persons are hereby appoint-
ed directors of said election:

Mrs. T. G. Woodard, Clerk,

’ 3. The said election shall be held
under the provisions of Chapter 1, |
Title 22 of the Revised Civil
Statutes of 1925, as amended, in-
cluding the provisions of Article
704, as amended by Chapter 382,
passed at the First Called Session
of the Forty Fourth Legislature,
and only legally qualified electors
who own taxable property in the
City and who have duly rendered
the same for taxation shall be
qualified to vote.
4. The ballots for said election
shall have written or printed there-
on the following.

Concerning each of the above
propositions, each voter shall mark
out with black ink or black pencil
one of the above expressions, thus
leaving the other as indicating his
vote on the proposition.
5. A substantial copy of this res-
olution signed by the Mayor of said
City and attested by the City Sec-
retary shall serve as proper notice
of said election. Notice shall be giv-
en in accordance with Article 704,
Revised Civil Statutes of 1925, as
amended by Chapter 382, passed at
