City Commission Votes
To Issue Remainder of Bonds.
The City Commission Monday
voted to issue the remainder of
bonds voted last March. This is-
sue was in the amount of $45,000
in water and sewer bonds and
$15,000 street improvement bonds.
The bonds were sold to the B.
V. Christie Company of Houston.
Interest paid was 3 per cent.
The remainder of the bonds
were issued after the approval of
the 1945 tax roll. Total approved
valuation of city property for
1945 was $1,226,297.90. This was
a raise of some $400,000 over the
total valuation of last year.

Cusotmers Added to System.
Seventeen new water and sew-
er customers were added to the
City of Kermit water and sewer
systems this week, according to I

City to Sell Lumber
Used at City Reservoir.
The City Commission in a
meeting last Monday called for
bids for the sale of lumber used
in the construction of the new
city reservoir in Walton Place.
For some time the city had
discussed the idea of building a
warehouse for city supplies, but
the idea was given up when it
was decided that if the city
i should build a warehouse it
would be constructed of tile.

the construction of the reservoir
