field in North Winkler County
have been completed on two sides
of the field—the southwest and
the northeast—and a one quarter
of a mile south extender for El-
lenburger production in the same
district is in course of final com-
pletion, .fter preliminary tests
have shown it was good for as
much as 100 barrels of oil per
hour, natural.
Amon Carter and The Pure Oil
was swabbing, trying to develop
oil in the section at 8,078-8,800
feet, mhich is supposed to cover
the Devonian and the Silurian.
There had been some indica-
tions of oil in that . formation
mhile . the hole was being drilled
down Yo 10,050 feet, in the mid-
dle Ordovician. Operator could
not drill below that point on ac-
psl survey, and approxiuately one

ton-Lingo fee, in section 27, block
27, psi survey, in West Ector,
had drilled past 1,620 feet in
sandy shale. It had set 10 3-4-
inch casing at 1,522 feet.
