wedding cake and punch were
served from a table laid in a cut-
work linen cloth. The cake was
composed of four cakes forming a
rectangle surrounded by pink
carnations and feverfew. Mrs.
Clyde Barton presided over the
cake, and punch was poured by
Mrs. Emory Spangler and Mrs.
Kenneth Burrows. Those assist-
ing were Miss Merle Johnson of
Morse, Miss Sue Thompson, Mrs.
A. J. Newby of Odessa and Mrs.
H. H. Ray.
The bride graduated from Ker-
■ mit High School in 1942 and was
editor of the Yellow Jacket, and

Longview. After Lohengrin’s
Wedding March, “Ava Maria” and
“Because” were played during
the ceremony.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore an
ivory silk dress, fashioned with a
high neck, basque waist, peplum
of ruffles of the same material
with ruffles falling from the
waist which extended around the
hem. The sleeves, which were
full, were caught at the wrist by
tiny ruffles. Her arm bouquet
was of larkspur, peonies and
daisies. She wore a fingertip veil
of illusion caught on the top in
tiny pleated ruffles.
The matron of honor wore an
orchid net dress fashioned like
that of the bride, and wore a
bando of orchid net in hex' hair.
Her bouquet was an old-fashioned
nosegay of rosebuds circled with
daisies and net. The bride’s
mother was attired in a melon
suit and wore a blue cornflower
corsage. The bridegroom’s mother
wore a pastel dress and a gladioli
corsage. The candlelighters wore
pink net dresses with carnations
on their wrists.

and is now a senior of Texas
Technological College, Lubbock.
She is a member of A.W.S., Pi
Sigma Alpha and D.F.D., social
club.
The bridegroom is a graduate
of Hamilton High School, John
Tarleton College and is now a
senior at Texas Technological
College, and is a member of
Alpha Phi Omega.
After a brief trip, the couple
will be at home at 2221 Thir-
teenth Street in Lubbock.

Church, read the vows.
The ceremony was performed
before a background of vines and
intertwined fern flanked by bas-
kets of calla lilies and gladioli
and tall tapers.
“Claire de Lune” was played
by Mrs. Fulton Moore, while the
candles were lighted by Miss
Joanne Birtciel of Kermit and
Miss Sue Thompson of Colorado
City. Jack Duree sang “The
Lord’s Prayer.” Mrs. Jack R.
Alexander of Duncan, Okla., sis-
ter of the bride, was her only
attendant. The bridegroom was
