Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gilbertson
of Fond du Lac, Wis., the parents
of Mrs. R. H. Gerdis, arrived in
Kermit Wednesday for a visit in
the home of their daughter. They
plan to spend about a week in
Kermit and will make a trip to
the Carlsbad Caverns before re-
turning to their home.
Mrs. S. A. Bradham and daugh-
ters returned this week from a
visit in Big Spring.
We consider it a privilege indeed to thank you
Dr. and Mrs. P. C. Shands of
Dallas have been visiting in the
home of their son, Percy Shands,
for the past ten days.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Moore re-
turned this week from an ex-
tended vacation in Ruidosa, N.M.
for making our opening a success beyond our
Mrs. E. G. Blundell flew to
Oklahoma City this week to bring
her mother to Kermit to spend
the summer months.

Mrs. W. E. Reneau was hostess
for bridge at her home last Fri-
day afternoon. Mrs. E. C. Taylor
was high score player, Mrs. Jack
Duree was second high and Mrs.
Oscar Maples won bingo.

Beulah Baird, Mrs. George Mitch-

Mrs. Tommie Mills and chil-
dren have returned from San An-
gelo, where they spent a week
visiting relatives.
Gurynta Mae Scott, - daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Scott of
Stephenville, has returned to her
home after a two-weeks’ visit here
with Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Briggs
and family. She was accompanied
home by Miss Evelyn Briggs, with
whom she has been visiting. Miss
Briggs plans to visit her grand-
mother, Mrs. Annie Briggs of
Marlin, and her aunt, Mrs. R. W.
Corley in Fort Worth, before re-
turning home.
Others present were Mrs. K. R.
Jyant, Mrs. Nev Williams Jr.,
Mrs. Jack Duree, Mrs. Bill Jack-
son, Mrs. Frank Dickerson, anc

Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Scott and
their daughters, Marilyn and
Dorcas Sue, returned Thursday
morning from a two-weeks’ vaca-
tion visiting relatives in Texas
and Louisiana.

Junior at Sul Ross College, at
Alpine.
Mrs. C. H. Moore has returned
home after a week’s visit in Lub-
bock. Her daughter, Gwynell, re-
mained in Lubbock where she
will visit relatives for several
days.
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hathcock
and daughters, Sondra and Penny,
of Palestine are guests in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. D. A.
Budge.

Sunday school will have a picnic
and barbecue at the residence of
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Jenkins on the
J. R. Sharp lease next Wednes-
day evening.
The board of stewards at the
meeting last Monday evening
voted that meat, pickles and some
other items would be purchased
by a committee composed of H.
R. Horner and Elie Lam and the
funds taken from the budget of
the church.
Each family in the church and
Sunday school and among the
friends of the church will bring
one covered dish, enough for all
in their family and one or two
extras.
All people who are members of
the church and Sunday school
and all who have been attend-
ing both church and Sunday
school are invited to this picnic,
according to the Rev. Fulton
Moore, pastor.
Mrs. Lewis Johnson of Hamlin,
Texas, is spending a few days
with her sister, Mrs. F. E. Hilde-
brand, and family.
