6, in the American Legion Hall in
regular meeting. A Mother’s Day
program furnished the entertain-
ment. Taking part on the pro-
gram were Genevieve Adams,
Joyce Tompson, Sandra Ham-

of Wink, Cora Crowley, Caroline
Youngblood, Grace Wilburn, Veda

Betty Youngblood of Kermit.
The next meeting will be held
Monday, May 19, at the Legion

Garden Club
To Meet Monday
With Mrs. Crowley
The newly organized Garden
Club meets next Monday night
in the home of Mrs. W. G. Crow-
ley at 8 o’clock.
“The club has already elected
its officers and is progressing on
its plans for the Walton Ad-
dition Park,” stated Mrs. Clyde
Bone, club president.
The Young Business Women’s
Class of the First Baptist Church
honored the Young Business
Men’s Class and prospective mem-
bers with a banquet Monday night
of this week. It was held at the
church banquet room at 8 o’clock.
White candles and white table-
cloths were used as decorations
and the meal was served by
candlelight. The menu consisted
of roast and gravy, carrots,
^ream potatoes, peas, Waldorf
salad, combination salad, tea, hot
rolls, peaches and cake.
After the meal, guests play-
ed several games before being
dismissed.

Mrs. J. R. Harvey, Faye Roady,
Rhett Wilder, Dorothy Warren,
Leslie Livingston, Gene Reneau,
Mallie Carter, Kenneth Shelly,
